Media Literacy: refers to people's understanding of what the media are, how they operate, what messages they are delivering, what roles they play in society, and how audience members respond to these messages.


People with low media literacy can develop exaggerated impression and see society in a disorted.



The basic dimensions of media literacy are divided by James Potter in to four dimensions: Cognitive Dimension, Emotional, Aesthetic and Moral dimension.
