journalism has four possible options for covering celebrities
1. not covering them all (mainsream journalists would prefer)
2. cover celebrities as fluff, relegating them to humorous gosip pages in the newspaper (mainstream covers celebirites this way)
3. cover celebrities in a compliant manner, with journalists presenting them in a manner of the celebrity's choosing 
4. cover the entertainment industry like any other powerful cultural institution in society, with celebrities as the businesses within the industry each trying to present an image to the consuming public to improve their sales
