Job Design = the assignment of goals and tasks to be accomplished by the employees. Managers change job-design:
- productivity
- product or service quality
- motivation
Job rotation = moving employees from job to job to give them a greater variety of tasks.
Job simplification = means that the variety and difficulty of tasks performed by a singe person are reduced , with a consequent increase in boredom and potential demotivation in Mass-production technologies.
Sociotechnical Systems = recognizes the interaction of technical and himan elements in effective job design.
Socio refers to people and groups
technical to materials,tools , machines and processes.
