3 estates; nobles chosen by the king were in the first. (no taxes)

                   church people were the second state. (no taxes)

                   ordinary people were the third state. (all taxes)

The ordinary people were poor and the prises of bread and grain rose. King Louis borrowed money from US, France citizens started thinking about revolution (because of US)

Third estate-->National Assembly, refused to leave until France had a constitution-->revolution

National Assembly, made equal rights (democracy)  and wrote the Declaration of the Rights of Man.But they lost power, the governmetn changed a lot.

The king and his wife (later on) were executed--> that period 'the Terror'
